While growing up in Louisiana, Torica spent most of her childhood in the outdoors fishing, hunting and riding motorcycles. She faced adversity in many forms over the years and learned valuable ‘life lessons’ along the way.
Torica joined the Army when she became of age. She faced her biggest challenges while serving here and abroad throughout her 22-year military career. Torica explained, “My platoon sergeant told me early on in my military career that the odds are stacked against me and I will always have to work twice as hard as everyone else to be successful.”
To this very day her then platoon sergeant still continues to mentor her. Torica continues to work very hard to strengthen herself physically, mentally, and spiritually. Never looking for a handout, always looking for opportunities....

I started riding in December 2017, once I graduated from Louisiana State Trooper course. My class was filled with men that could already ride. I was the only woman in my class. The instructor was hard on me, but I was determined to get my motorcycle endorsement. So on that Sunday, I passed my test, been riding ever since.
At first my husband would not let me leave our neighborhood. I had to get comfortable riding and making turns. I rode every day for 30 minutes in my neighborhood until I got comfortable. My husband tells me we are going to get on the main highway for New Years.
New Years comes, and I am nervous about riding with cars and people. I think we must have road 20 miles through town and back home. Once I did that, I kept riding further and further, made my first solo ride on the interstate, then we road to the Lone Star Rally, and then Florida with my mom, dad brother, sister and a few friends.
Now Phillip can barely keep me off my StreetGlide. I love the open road, and the feeling of freedom I get from riding my Harley. Riding a Harley has really opened doors for me. I have met and built relationships with people I would not have otherwise met.
Thank you GOD for this amazing life that I am blessed with and thank you for my handsome husband, family and friends. Thank you GOD, for your abundant protection..... 🙏🏽🙏🏽💚💙
